As a recent owner of land in the TRNC I come with obvious 'leanings'. However I would like to make it clear that firstly I believe your article is broadly correct; secondly that I welcome any plan to compensate original owners, even if that means a large personal loss to myself; thirdly I cannot understand how the South cannot see that if they say 'yes' within a few years they will virtually regain the island due to their inherently better business and organisational traits. I have been warmly welcomed both North and South and feel it is a tragedy that Cypriots cannot 'live and let live'; appreciate the strengths of both communities and bury their divisions to make Cyprus the prosperous, peaceful island that both Cypriots and the rest of the world want and support.
